A Place to Come Home To

We are Lisa and Izzy; sisters, practitioners, and women building businesses of our own. The (Work) Space was born not from a business plan, but from a need we felt deeply. We needed somewhere to work that didn’t drain us. Somewhere to see clients without being tied into a long lease. Somewhere to belong without having to perform.

We couldn’t find it. So, we created it.

A countryside space where work can feel calm. Where practitioners can build their practice without pressure. Where freelancers can create without commuting into the city. A place that makes room for both ambition and rest.

A Different Kind of Space

This is not a gym. Not a studio brand. Not a wellness trend.

It is quiet on purpose.

Classes are small. Teachers teach what they live.
Treatments are private, confidential and designed to restore, nurture and support.

People come here to stretch, to strengthen, to be quiet, to exhale…not to perform.

Held by Land, Held by Community

Set in the Norfolk countryside, The Space is surrounded by fields, footpaths and sky. Many stay after class to walk the Burston Circular Trail, to enjoy the nature reserve, meadow & woodland opposite, or sit with a cup of tea.

There is no rush here. You arrive as you are.

Teacher-Led, Heart-Led

Every class, session, and treatment at The Space is led by an independent practitioner. We do not programme or brand their work. Instead, we invite them to bring the truest version of it.

You book directly with them. You build a relationship, not a login.

Lisa Webster

Co-founder of The Space

In 2008, Lisa qualified in Sports and Remedial Massage at the London School of Sports Massage with a BTEC Level 4. She’s also studied several short courses in pregnancy massage as well as other courses for CPD. In her early 20’s, Lisa lived in Canada after which point she delved into delivering sports massages and during the winter would work at a ski resort to pursue her passion for snowboarding. It’s during this time that Lisa pondered how she could continue to work these winter seasons whilst also establishing a career for herself.

After qualifying from the London School of Sports Massage, she started her first massage job in the French ski resort of Val-d'Isère and has since seen an evolution in her massage style - becoming more of a relaxing deep tissue treatment. Lisa also employs her sports and remedial training when her clients have an injury or area of chronic tension that needs more specialised treatment.

“What's important to me is compassion for others, happiness, calmness and contentment for myself and my loved ones.”

Lisa lives with her partner Tom and their 4-year-old son Lenny. They have recently bought their first home and have spent the last year renovating it. They enjoy going on big walks and bike rides as a family and adventuring to unknown places on holiday.

Lisa’s goals in life are to be able to offer her children the same happiness and security that her parents had provided for her and Izzy. As well as this, she aims to be able to help her children financially so that they can follow their dreams.

At home, she loves her routine of daily yoga and meditation. She enjoys long walks, and exploring the stunning east Anglia coastline. She also finds herself creating cosy beautiful interior spaces, cooking healthy nutritious food and sharing this with her friends and family.

Outside of lockdown, Izzy loves to visit London, immersing herself in the diverse culture, live music and art exhibitions the city has to offer.

“What's important for me is cultivating well-being within myself & sharing this with others. I love to maintain peace, balance, awareness and joy.”

Izzy loves to travel and explore new places, after university she spent a year exploring Canada, California, central and south America. During this time traveling, she worked a winter sports season in Banff Canada. Amongst other adventures, Izzy learned Spanish in Guatemala, Mexico & Peru. It was in central and south America that she began to develop an interest in holistic wellbeing and yoga, something that she would return to many years later after working in design.
