> Private Yoga classes:

A private class is perfect for you if you’d prefer 1-1 attention and a practice designed to your specific needs. This can be to learn the basics, work on a therapeutic issue, because a group class doesn’t appeal, or to help you take your practice to a more advanced level. Benefit from a personalised class and bespoke yoga nidra ( guided relaxation) recording to take home with you.

Private classes have a therapeutic approach, applying simple techniques clinically proven to calm, balance and up-lift your body and mind. In today’s busy times, stress is common and can be a cause of not only psychological but physical tension, imbalance or disease. Learning something as easy as controlled, slow breathing can become a valuable tool for finding our way back to equilibrium, and can be easily incorporated into your daily routine.

Yoga itself is a process of ‘normalisation’. The practise of yoga helps to bring you back to your natural state of health and equilibrium from every physical or psychological complaint. In today’s busy and often stressful times, yoga can provide a state of balance, peace, tranquillity, and positivity. When specific practices are chosen for an individual’s needs, this is known as Yoga Therapy.

> Corporate Yoga - Bespoke Day Retreats:

Join us in the tranquil village of Burston for a rare chance to relax and revitalise alongside your team. Enjoy private use of The Space whilst learning simple practices for stress relief and relaxation. Leave with a guided relaxation recording to continue your practices at home.

Yoga is an amazing way to relieve stress, re-energise, and soothe away the shoulder, back and neck tension classically caused by desk work. Simple techniques lead to a balanced and clear mind, helping us to focus, boosting productivity and helping us achieve our goals with more ease and joy. Learn simple practices you can bring in to the workplace to maintain a healthy, happy body and mind.

> Holistic Massage:

Izzy provides a balance of relaxing and firm holistic massage, combining deep, targeted pressure with a calming, natural touch. She specialises in thorough work into the neck, shoulders & back to help relieve tension typically held in these areas.

As a yoga teacher, she is able to work with a holistic approach, and if required she can offer instruction for simple stretches and techniques to help maintain relaxation between massages.

> Thai Yoga massage:

Thai yoga massage combines practices from ancient India and China in the form of Yoga and acupressure. The stretching movements used in Thai Yoga Massage affect the entire body by increasing flexibility, releasing both deep and superficial tension, and helping the body’s natural energy to flow more freely. The wonderful benefits of these stretching movements, in which you’ll play only a passive role, are similar to those of Yoga. For this reason, it is sometimes referred to as passive Yoga, or ‘Yoga for lazy people’! Alternatively, it can work perfectly as a complement to your own Yoga practice.

Combined with stretching movements, gentle force is exerted on energy lines and pressure points using the palms of the hands, the thumbs, and the feet. With care and sensitivity to depth of pressure and stretch, Izzy ensures that every massage is just right for you. Guiding you through the range of positions lying on your front, side, back and seated, she is able to work with every part of your body effectively and in a seamless flow.

This massage is performed with comfortable pillows and a mattress on the floor instead of a table, allowing for many movements which are not practical, effective or possible in table work. The result is an opening of the body, which leaves one feeling simultaneously relaxed and energised.

During the massage, you’ll remain fully clothed except for your feet. Ideally please arrive with an empty stomach and wearing lightweight, loose clothing allowing for comfortable and free movement.

Timing: Whilst 1.5 – 2 hours is considered the optimum length for a full Thai Massage, this timing can be adjusted to 1 hour or extended to as long as 2.5 to three hours.

> Thai Foot Reflexology Massage:

This ancient therapy is known to promote the body’s own healing powers and has been practised for thousands of years in countries such as India and China. It is based on the principle that the foot is like a chart or mirror image of the body. Specific manipulation and pressure of reflex points in the foot reduces and eliminates blockages in the corresponding glands or organs. Reflexology is much more than just a foot massage; foot reflexology promotes equilibrium and well being with a long-lasting impact.

With a combination of soothing sweeping motions and pressure to specific points, Izzy will relax your feet as well as your lower legs and knees. This is the perfect way to revitalise your mind and body.

Some of the many benefits include;

  • Reduced stress
  • Relief for tired feet
  • Alleviation of aches and pains
  • Sound sleep
  • Peace of mind
  • Reduction of digestive disorders
  • Relief from headache and sinus pain
  • Improved circulation
  • Increased energy

"Yoga classes with Izzy were the highlight of my week during my postpartum journey, she held a space for us to heal and nurtured a community for us to lean on. Something we lack in todays world and that I found saved my sanity more than I few times. A perfect combination of wonderful grounding yoga with yummy baby friendly giggles and story sharing. I recommend it to everyone. From the bottom of my heart thank you Izzy”

Steph Bowley

“When I arrive at Izzy's Postnatal Yoga class I am often on the edge, my body and mind feeling very tense. As soon as I enter the space I feel welcome. Izzy always ensures that there is time to check in with everyone and to hear and gather individual needs for the following session. Her voice leads through the gentle exercises like a soothing song, which bit by bit makes my body and my mind slow down and finally relax. At the final relaxation I am so at ease that I'd love to stay on the ground to finally have a good and deep sleep.”

Ruth

“Izzy's postnatal yoga classes are a lifeline in the choppy seas of early motherhood. I look forward to it every week & always come away feeling relaxed, refreshed & energised.”

Lisa

“Izzy was a fantastic asset to have on my doorstep when I had my daughter. She was able to provide a friendly and caring atmosphere in her postnatal yoga classes where I felt supported and able to be honest about where I was in my parenting journey. This was such a relief as it's so easy to feel isolated and anxious in those early stages. Her classes gave me a chance to see other parents and babies, discuss openly how things were going, as well as being an essential opportunity to target areas of physical discomfort through yoga and actually experience some relaxation in an otherwise hectic and sleep deprived time! She's also just a really lovely person who exudes calm and genuinely listens to what you have to say.”

Ellie Comer

“I often enter my yoga classes frazzled and tired, but I always leave feeling refreshed, calm and stretched. Izzy is a natural and empathic teacher. She creates a haven of peace and makes time to be in tune with individual student needs. Izzy’s experience in yoga practice shows through – approachable, clear instruction and positive encouragement. I always look forward to my weekly class. I simply can’t recommend her highly enough. All this and a terrific beautiful space to practise in – what more can you ask?”

Deborah Vassey

“Izzy’s Yoga classes are very friendly, and full of positive energy. I find the classes enormously beneficial, as Izzy is both highly knowledgeable and professional. She is able to adapt her teaching and will give specific individual instruction, if needed.  She also includes other Yoga techniques, as well as exercises, to help balance the body and the mind. I find the classes are both relaxed and relaxing. I am thrilled at the progress I am making.” - Helen Migliorato

“I am so grateful to Izzy for bringing me back to Yoga!  Although I’d practiced Yoga in the past, life had run away with me and I found myself stressed, sore and at times unable to turn my head to the side. Izzy’s gentle and positive instruction has helped me to reconnect not just with my body, which is now pain free, but also my emotional health.  She listens to her students and designs her classes accordingly so that each one feels tailored to your needs… a rare skill. With her encouragement and support we have also explored dynamic breathing and meditation techniques, so that the yoga experience is holistic; the physical and the mental benefits come together and I find myself using the skills we practice in my ‘everyday’ life whenever I need to energise or relax.” - Stephanie

“I have been going to Izzy’s yoga class for over 3 years now. Izzy has such a calming nature and soothing voice which makes every yoga session a pleasure. It’s such a relaxing environment at the Space, but having to use Zoom for the classes due to COVID is still an amazing hour to look forward to every week.” - Sam Turner

“I found the Space about three years ago when I needed some form of exercise following an illness when I had become very stiff and immobile particularly in my shoulders and hips.  I have attended Izzy's Gentle Yoga classes and have over the last three year recovered my mobility little by little.  Izzy is great at helping you through the class and suggesting adaptations when you are unable to do the full pose straightaway.  Am particularly grateful for the Zoom Yoga which she has delivered every Friday during Lockdown.  A real lifesaver.”
